Amendment IV

The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.

The 4th Amendment protects the people from the government taking property, papers, people, or conducting a search without a valid warrant that was achieved using probable cause.

This photo depicts how sometimes the 4th amendment creates issues but it was created to protect the people by forcing law enforcement to first get a paper signed saying they are allowed to enter and search without the owners permission.
