Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.

This is the first and one of the more important, if not the most important, amendments of the Constitution. This amendment protects the people's right to particpate in any religion they wish, or to have no religion at all. It also allows people to speak freely, to meet with whom ever they wish, and to publish with the press, newspapers, TV, radio, Internet what ever they may wish.Defending our first amendement
This video reviews a sheriff who defended a couples first amendment right and now is a hero in the public's eyes.
